Self-regulated Accretion Disks

چکیده

We consider a class of fully self-gravitating accretion disks, for which efficient cooling mechanisms are assumed to maintain the disk close to the margin of Jeans instability. For such self-regulated disks the equations become very simple in the outer regions, where the angular momentum convective transport approximately balances the viscous transport. These latter equations are shown to lead naturally to a self-similar solution with flat rotation curve, with circular velocity proportional to (Ṁ) and essentially fixed opening angle. The Role of Thermal Conduction in Accretion Disks with Outflows

In this work we solve the set of hydrodynamical equations for accretion disks in the spherical coordinates (r,θ,ϕ) to obtain the explicit structure along θ direction. We study a two-dimensional advective accretion disc in the presence of thermal conduction. We find self-similar solutions for an axisymmetric, rotating, steady, viscous-resistive disk. We show that the global structure of an advec...

A class of self-gravitating accretion disks

We consider a class of steady-state self-gravitating accretion disks for which efficient cooling mechanisms are assumed to operate so that the disk is self-regulated at a condition of approximate marginal Jeans stability. In an earlier paper, this scenario had been shown to lead naturally, in the absence of a central point mass, to a self-similar solution characterized by a flat rotation curve....

Effect of the temperature profile of the accretion disk on the structure of jets and outflows around protostars

Magnetic fields play an important role in creating, driving, and in the evolution of outflows and jets from protostars and accretion disks. On the other hand, the temperature profile of the accretion disks may also affect the structure of the magnetic field and outflows. In this paper, we use the self-similar method in cylindrical coordinates to investigate the effect of the temperature profile...

Mass Accretion Rates in Self-regulated Disks of T Tauri Stars

We have studied numerically the evolution of protostellar disks around intermediate and upper mass T Tauri stars (0.25 M⊙ < M∗ < 3.0 M⊙) that have formed self-consistently from the collapse of molecular cloud cores. In the T Tauri phase, disks settle into a self-regulated state, with low-amplitude nonaxisymmetric density perturbations persisting for at least several million years. Our main find...

A simple model for accretion disks in the post-Newtonian approximation

p { margin-bottom: 0.1in; direction: ltr; line-height: 120%; text-align: left; }a:link { } In this paper, the evolution of accretion disks in the post-Newtonian limit has been investigated. These disks are formed around gravitational compact objects such as black holes, neutron stars, or white dwarfs. Although most analytical researches have been conducted in this context in the framework o...
